The Roswell City Council has approved an intergovernmental agreement with Fulton County that will reimburse the city an estimated $867,930 for the costs of relocating a water line during the reconstruction of Rucker Road.

Project plans call for constructing about 2,400 linear feet of water line along Rucker from Houze Road (Ga. 140) to the Roswell city limits, according to the agreement. The work will affect a fire hydrant, water main, water meter and valves.

Fulton will reimburse the city all material and labor cost specific to the utility relocations, the agreement says.

Last December, the city councils of Roswell and Alpharetta signed off on an intergovernmental agreement to jointly improve Rucker in the two cities, creating a continuous corridor of new sidewalks, turn lanes, bike lanes, roundabouts and other improvements from Houze in Roswell to Wills Road in Alpharetta.
