A Fulton County high school football player is facing a simple battery charge for allegedly attacking his head coach during a game.
According to Channel 2 Action News, a police report said 18-year-old Keewan Williams, a defensive lineman at Northview High School, pushed coach Chad Davenport during Northview’s game against Chattahoochee High School last week.
A witness told the news station that Williams pushed his coach with enough force to send him from the sideline onto the field.
Officials with Fulton County Schools did not say whether Williams was suspended or expelled from school, citing privacy laws.
Channel 2’s attempts to reach Williams for comment were unsuccessful as of Friday afternoon.
