The Georgia Department of Education released the latest SAT scores for schools and school districts Thursday.

Georgia’s public school students in the class of 2018 outperformed their peers nationally by 5 points, with a total score of 1054. Reading and writing was 537 and math was 517.

That was for public schools only. The College Board also released the average score for all Georgia students: 1064.

Fulton County Schools scored an average of 1091 this year, compared to 1051 in 2017.  The highest possible score on the SAT is 1600.

Here are the Fulton County Schools among the 20 best-scoring on the SAT in the state:

Northview High School – 1275 (No. 2)

Chattahoochee High School - 1240 (No. 4)

Johns Creek High School - 1224 (No. 6)

Alpharetta High School - 1212 (No. 9)

Cambridge High School - 1184 (No. 16, tied)

Milton High School - 1184 (No. 16, tied)

Roswell High School - 1165 (No. 19, tied)
