Fulton County residents voted yes to additional sales taxes with an Election Day referendum for .75 percent collected for transportation projects. The amount will be set aside for five years for transportation improvements and congestion reduction outside of the city of Atlanta.

The tax will provide funding for Fulton County and all municipalities within the county for improvements and projects based on each jurisdiction’s previously agreed upon needs.

Chattahoochee Hills will be using its funding from the TSPLOST for the maintenance and safety enhancements of its paved and non-paved roads. Although a list has been drafted, the roadways that benefit and the priorities for these improvements will be based on public input. The city will be scheduling public meetings to prioritize the list of streets and roadways needing maintenance and repairs.
