Residents and law enforcement employees will be able to comment on the Fulton County Marshal’s Department when a national accreditation agency visits the area later this month.

A team from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) will be in Atlanta to examine the marshal’s department’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. The department is seeking its eighth accreditation since 1995, county officials said.

Comments can be made at a public information session scheduled for 7 p.m., March 27, in Courtroom 1B of the Fulton County Courthouse Justice Center Tower, 185 Central Ave. SW, Atlanta.

Those who cannot attend can call in comments to 404-612-4456 between 2 and 4 p.m., March 27; or mail them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville VA 20155.
