The Fulton County Commission on the Environment has extended its deadline nominations of development projects, community organizations and individuals in Fulton County that advocate and exemplify environmentally-sound practices to be recognized at its annual Environmental Awards Program to be held at the Fulton County Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Oct. 18. Nominations must be postmarked or emailed no later than Aug. 18.

The FCCCE is a citizen environmental advisory group appointed by the Board of Commissioners to investigate environmental concerns; to make recommendations to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners on environmental policies; and to increase public awareness, understanding and involvement concerning environmental issues.
