The Fulton County Department Arts & Culture recently began its cultural action planning. According to a press release, it’s asking residents for their participation in the County’s Cultural Action Plan that will shape the strategic direction for FCAC over the next five years.

FCAC has engaged the services of The Cultural Planning Group to facilitate the planning process. CPG began their work in December 2018, meeting with the Fulton County Arts Council. During the week of May 13, CPG will host meetings with civic, political, philanthropic, and cultural leaders across Fulton County. Through a series of interviews and discussion groups, CPG seeks to better understand the current environment for arts and culture in Fulton County, as well as seek your input and thoughts on FCAC arts and cultural programs and services.

The group wants to include community voices. Residents are invited to participate in a one-hour discussion group:

  • 7 p.m. May 14 at Abernathy Arts Center, 254 Johnson Ferry Rd. NW in Sandy Springs
  • 6:30 p.m. May 15 at Union City Community Gathering Place, 6280 Bryant St. in Union City
  • 7 p.m. May 16 at West End Performing Arts Center, 945 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. in Atlanta
