Fulton County commissioners observed a moment of silence Wednesday for four University of Georgia students who were killed in a car crash last week.

Commissioner Bob Ellis, who said his son was friends with the girls, called them “beautiful, God-loving women.”

“They were the type of people you wanted your child to be around…” Ellis said. “They were true light.”

Kayla Leigh Canedo, 19; Brittany Katherine Feldman, 20; Christina Devon Semeria, 19; and Halle Grace Scott, 19 were killed in an April 27 car crash. Agnes Yena Kim, 21, of Snellville was in critical condition earlier this week.

“They were angels that walked among us,” Ellis said. “We lost them way too soon.”
