Friends of the Decatur Library will hold a winter book sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. at the library, 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur.

They encourage the public to attend this free event. The sale will be held inside the building, on the lower level of the Decatur Library. Thousands of gently used fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, as well as CDs, and DVDs will be available for purchase.

Only cash or checks will be accepted. Dealers must scan at tables.

All proceeds benefit the programs and collections of the Decatur Library such as the 150 story times, 40 youth book groups and weekly summer movies for kids as well as monthly book groups, film screenings, musical events and jewelry-making and painting classese for adults and seniors.

New members are always welcome. Friends of the Decatur Library is always seeking members who have a love for books, and doing good in the community.
