Forsyth County residents can pick up free wood chips while supplies last at the Forsyth County Roads and Bridges facility on County Way in Cumming.

A small mulch yard at the site is being used to stockpile wood chips produced during normal county operations. The quantity and availability are expected to vary.

The wood chips are available to county residents on a first-come, first-served basis, and patrons are responsible for their own loading and hauling.

The mulch yard is located off of Ga. 400, across the street from the Georgia State Patrol Post 37 public entrance. For information, contact Forsyth County Roads and Bridges at 770-781-2155.
