Police in Sandy Springs want their residents to have the tools to defend themselves, especially the women of the city.

So on May 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sandy Springs Police are offering a free women’s self-defense class at police headquarters.

The topics covered include instinct and awareness, mental mindset, home safety, vehicle safety, walking safety, ID and computer fraud, shopping safety, weapons, travel tips and what to do if you’re attacked.

Women in their teens and older are eligible to participate.

Please email Sgt. Stafford at mstafford@sandyspringsga.gov if you would like to attend.
