Where can you take yoga, barre or Zumba classes for free?

The Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater at Newtown Park in Johns Creek fits that bill.

The city’s recreation and parks division will offer free fitness classes every Sunday, beginning April 15 and lasting through October.

The classes are taught by certified fitness instructors, the city says, and folks of all fitness levels are welcome. However, participants must be at least 16 years or older to participate. If under 16, an adult must accompany them.

No registration is needed, but participants must sign a waiver prior to the start of the class.

All classes begin at 10 a.m. and last one hour.

For yoga, all participants must bring their own mats.

For more information and a complete schedule of classes, visit the city's website.
