The Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners is offering a free discussion with Dr. Billy Kihei about V2X technology in future transportation noon to 1 p.m. Wed., Feb. 12 at Innovation Center at Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners, 147 Technology Parkway.

Vehicle-2-Everything (V2X) technology can make roads safer by allowing vehicles to communicate with each other. The technology has the potential to reduce up to 94 percent of all unimpaired accidents in the U.S., resulting in saving 33,500+ lives a year. Additional benefits exist for the environment and economic productivity.

However, V2X relies on support from regulatory bodies to secure its effectiveness. In this talk, a tutorial on the technology will be provided, along with the current status of V2X activity in the U.S.

Billy Kihei, Ph.D. is an active wireless researcher and expert in signal processing. He serves as a Research Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University and manages the KSU Intelligent Transportation Systems Lab.
