Stopping short of calling it an endorsement, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin announced Monday that she will vote for Kasim Reed to succeed her.
Franklin, who has been mum on who she is supporting, made her announcement in an interview with CNN. Reed was Franklin's campaign manager in her two bids for mayor.
Reed and City Council President Lisa Borders are trailing frontrunner Mary Norwood, a city councilwoman. Each is hoping to end up in a runoff with Norwood in Tuesday's election.
