Marietta will have a few road closures for its Independence Day Celebration on July 4.

During the Let Freedom Ring Parade, temporary road closures will include Roswell Street west of Cobb Parkway and all streets it crosses from 9:15 a.m. until the parade ends around 12:15 p.m.

With about 85 entries and 2,000 participants, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travel west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and end at North Marietta Parkway.

For the Fourth in the Park Festival, North, South, East and West Park Square around the Marietta Square will be closed from 10 a.m. through the fireworks finale.

Free concerts on Glover Park stage, arts and crafts show with 90 vendors, food vendors and carnival games will comprise the festival.

In case of inclement weather, follow the city of Marietta’s Facebook page for updates on the parade or fireworks at facebook.com/CityofMarietta.
