Fayette County has four openings on its Development Authority board. The nine-member body sets policy, determines annual goals and serves as a liaison between the local government and the business community. Its goal is to create an improved business climate and a diversified economic base in the county. The authority usually meets at 4 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month in Fayetteville. The open positions are for four-year terms starting April 10 and expiring in April 2022.

The Board of Commissioners is accepting applications, available at www.fayettecountyga.gov, until April 6. Information: 770-305-5103
