The Fayette County Board of Commissioners confirmed four new or renewed appointments to two local advisory committees on Feb. 28.

Mike Gumbinger was named to the county’s five-member volunteer Recreation Commission to fill former member Bradley Klinger’s unexpired term, which ends March 31, 2020. Bryan Thompson was appointed to the same board for a term that runs until Dec. 31, 2022, replacing incumbent Terrance Williamson.

The commission also reappointed the county’s Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Bartlett and Division Chief Steven Folden for two-year terms to the West Georgia EMS Council, which operates under the Georgia Department of Public Health to address issues regarding response systems and communications within a 12-county area.
