Two Guatemalans found dead behind a Canton shopping center in January probably died from hypothermia.

Sgt. Matt Baldwin of the Canton Police Department said there were no signs of foul play and the case is nearing completion. Toxicology reports show that both men had blood-alcohol levels above .08, which is the legal level of intoxication in Georgia. Both men also had a history of drinking binges, according to the investigation.

"They either went to sleep or passed out," Baldwin said. Autopsies have been completed, and the police are waiting for the final reports.

Someone found the bodies of Obdulio A. Ortega-Bail and Mauricio Gonzales-Reyes behind a strip shopping center in the 500 block of Marietta Road January 12. Several of the shops in the center cater to the Latino population in Canton, many of who come from Guatemala.
