Crews in Forsyth County started cleaning up the mess left behind by Tropical Storm Irma on Nov. 13.

County officials say crews will do debris pickup only within the right-of-way on county maintained roads. State routes and city streets aren’t included.

Only woody, vegetative storm debris such as trees and limbs will be accepted and only from residential locations. Crews will not be able to go onto private property to pick up storm leftovers. Officials said debris should not be placed in front or around driveways, on top of utilities or fire hydrants or in front of or around mailboxes.

The two contractors hired for the job are expected to start working in the northern half of the county (north of Ga. 20) on Nov. 13 and across the southern half approximately Nov. 20
