The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has called a virtual public hearing on a proposed moratorium that would affect development plans for properties with certain zoning designations.

Due to the need to maintain "social distancing" because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hearing, to begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, will be held via real-time streaming audio and video on the county website, www.forsythco.com

To speak at the hearing, residents can call 877-309-2073 and enter the access code, 915-206-133. They will be placed on hold until they are prompted to speak.

At issue is a moratorium that would bar until Sept. 4 the acceptance of land disturbance permit applications for multi- and single-family-attached developments on properties zoned Res 6, Res 4 and Res 3. Information: https://bit.ly/3bHj5As
