Forsyth County has announced a Spring Festival at the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, with guided hikes, rock and tree climbing, zip lining, yoga, crafts, games and other activities to celebrate Earth Day.
The free, Forsyth Parks & Recreation event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the preserve, 4075 Spot Road, Cumming. The aim is to promote preservation, conservation, stewardship and outdoor recreation, officials said.
“Sawnee Mountain Preserve offers a wide variety of activities, and we are excited for everyone to experience them at the festival,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor.
The day's events will begin with a trail run at 8 a.m. at the visitor's center. Pre-registration by April 17 is required. Information: https://bit.ly/2OhKfn2
