Forsyth County residents will have opportunities this month to review and comment on plans for the Caney Creek Preserve, and for an integrated trail system in the northern part of the county.

The meeting to gather input to update the master plan for Caney Creek, 2755 Caney Road, is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Old Atlanta Park Recreation Center, 810 Nichols Road, Suwanee. Residents can drop in any time to offer feedback, officials said.

Separately, a community open house on a proposed subarea plan to create a trail system in north Forsyth is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Forsyth Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.

The trail would connect neighborhoods, county facilities and such natural resources as Lake Lanier, Sawnee Mountain and the Etowah River, officials said. Project specialists and county staff will be on hand to answer questions.
