Forsyth County has set an open house to get feedback from residents, business owners and property owners on recommended commercial design standards and a branding proposal for the southern part of the county.

The open house is 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the Sharon Forks Public Library, 2820 Old Atlanta Road, Cumming. The area of the study is generally east of Ga. 400 to the Fulton and Gwinnett county lines.

Attendees will be able to view draft designs and comment on concepts presented by county staff and the project's consultant, according to a county announcement. Design standards will focus on non-residential uses along commercial corridors, including architectural and landscaping elements.

“The preliminary standards and marketing brand are being created to help support a stronger identity for south Forsyth,” the county said. “The branding portion of the south Forsyth design initiative will include a logo and tagline as well as other marketing recommendations to help identify the area.”
