The Forsyth County School District had ceremonial groundbreakings in November for three major capital projects: Hendricks Middle School, the Academies for Creative Education and the Forsyth County Arts and Learning Center.

Hendricks Middle School is being built along Hyde Road on the west side of Forsyth near the Cherokee County line. The Academies and Arts Center are going up on the campus of the Forsyth Board of Education and Professional Development Center near Cumming.

The Academies is a three-story building that will house three growing, non-traditional middle and high school programs. The Arts Center is a two-story structure that will support district fine arts programs with a 1,800-seat performance hall, black box theater and event and meeting space; it also will be available for public functions.

All three projects are scheduled to be completed in 2021. Information: https://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/future
