Forsyth County has named an executive with more than 20 years’ experience managing facilities and support service operations in a variety of industries as its new director of public facilities.
Dan Callahan will oversee the operation of all publicly owned facilities and the management and completion of capital improvement projects, Forsyth officials said.
“Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to an important role within Forsyth County,” said County Manager Eric Johnson. “We look forward to working with Dan on several key projects that will continue to bring Forsyth County’s growing facilities into the future.”
Callahan most recently was head of real estate and facilities services for the Southeast for Alcon/Novartis in Johns Creek, and previously was director of building services at the DeKalb Regional Healthcare System.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University and a master’s of business administration from Georgia State University. He also has served on the board of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce.
