Forsyth County has announced its own Twitter account, which county officials say they’ll use as an addition to other channels to send out communications and updates.

“Twitter is the first of several planned additions to Forsyth County communications outlets in 2019,” said Director of Communications Karen Shields. “We invite everyone to follow us on Twitter @forsythcogov and on Facebook @ForsythCountyGovernment to stay informed of the latest news from the county.”

Twitter should not be used to report emergencies or ask for assistance, officials said. In case of an emergency, dial 911; otherwise, the county can be reached at 770-781-2101 and through its website, forsythco.com, during regular business hours.

Residents also can get government news on TV Forsyth, the 24-hour government cable channel on Comcast Channel 23 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Information: https://bit.ly/2Bc3kRZ
