Forsyth County has hired an executive with a background in private-sector facilities management as director of its Public Facilities Department.

Dennis Daniel will direct operations and activities involving the maintenance of Forsyth buildings, equipment and grounds and manage its capital projects, according to a county announcement of his hiring. He begins his new job Monday.

Daniel has more than 20 years of experience and a background with large multi-facility operations, and he most recently was senior facilities manager with CBRE/ADP. He has a bachelor’s of science degree in manufacturing engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University.

“In addition to his strong facilities management experience, (Daniel) brings to the position skills in strategic planning and industry knowledge in safety and regulatory compliance,” said County Manager Doug Derrer.
