Forsyth County Commissioners now have a new online way to communicate directly with their constituents.

County officials have rolled out a new online communications portal accessible from the forsythco.com homepage. Residents first click on a landing page and then click on their district to see what news their commissioner has posted . There’s also a feature under which countywide news related to a specific district is culled from the main website and posted in the same spot. Residents can also subscribe and get automatic notification when a commissioner enters a new blog post. Posts can also be keyword-tagged so that similar topics can be checked out at the same time.

Commissioners voted to activate the portal at their most recent work session, with Commissioner Rick Swope saying such information-sharing is crucial.
