After being spread out over multiple offices due to space limitations, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has now consolidated operations at 100 E. Courthouse Square, Cumming, in the old Forsyth County Courthouse building.

The official move-in earlier this month follows renovations and means that the combined office nows handles all ordinance and permit functions plus civil processing. It also has offices for the sheriff, the chief deputy and the offices of professional standards, finance, human relations and operations. The sheriff’s records office is located at the nearby new Forsyth County jail.

Sheriff’s officials said the office will remain open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday and is accessed through the front door of the courthouse at the street level. Probate court occupies the lower level of the building and can be accessed through the rear door at the parking lot level.

Visitors can park in one of the two parking decks downtown.
