Forsyth County offers residents two ways to brighten the holidays for senior citizens: 2019 Holiday Gift Angels and Home-Delivered Meals Holiday Gift Certificates.

Angel gift request tags with the name of a local senior and a gift idea are available at the three Forsyth Senior Services locations: The Center at Charles Place 595 Dahlonega St.; Hearthstone Lodge Community Center, 7305 Lanier Drive; and Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road, all in Cumming.

Acquire the gift requested on the tag and bring it, unwrapped, in a gift bag with the tag attached back to the senior services location by Dec. 2.

Residents also can give a gift of a nutritious meal, friendly visit and safety check by purchasing a gift certificate through Senior Services to be delivered by the Meals on Wheels program. Certificates are available in $4 increments for one day, $20 for one week, $85 for one month and $1,000 for a year. They can be purchased at Forsyth Senior Services at Hearthstone Lodge.
