Forsyth County hires first controller

Forsyth County has hired David Gruen as the county’s first director of finance/controller. He will direct operations of the Finance Department and several other departments, including Purchasing and Risk Management. His salary is $92,500.

Gruen has more than twenty years of government finance and accounting experience, including serving as assistant finance director, chief budget analyst and county budget officer for Charlotte County in Port Charlotte, Florida. Most recently he was vice president for finance for Toccoa Falls College.
