With “kitten season” beginning, the Forsyth County Animal Shelter seeks donated supplies to care for the expected influx of young felines.

To care for kittens being brought into the shelter, it needs soft, smaller blankets; KMR powdered formula; bottles; bottle-cleaning brushes; heating pads (be sure they’re not auto shut-off), and Stage 1 chicken or turkey baby food.

"Any donation is greatly appreciated," the shelter said in a Facebook posting. "Please contact the shelter at 678-965-7185 with any questions about kitten season supplies."

The shelter, 4065 County Way, also said, “Our foster program is just starting, so if you are an experienced bottle baby foster or have experiencing fostering older kittens and would be able to help, the shelter would be happy to have you join our new foster family team.”
