The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit and state officials joined forces on a sex offender sweep linked to Halloween.

The sheriff’s office says they searched 25 registered offenders which resulted in four arrests. Three of those picked up were found in violation of probation conditions. The fourth was arrested on an active probation violation warrant. Deputies teaming up with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision also verified addresses at the homes of 122 on the registered list.

The sheriff’s office says they stage an operation around Halloween each year because they want to make sure sex offenders stay away from activities linked to the holiday.
