The Forsyth County Planning Commission O.K.’d plans for a shopping center and a residential development at its most recent meeting, but several other proposals were postponed.

Commissioners approved the Kroger Co.’s request to rezone a nearly 27-acre tract from industrial and agricultural to commercial business district. Planned is a roughly 142,000-square-foot retail center at the southwest corner of Bethelview and Castleberry roads.

More than 650 parking spaces are also a part of the plan.

Planners also signed off on the rezoning of nearly 23 acres at 645 Tidwell Road from agricultural to residential for 45 residential lots with a density of 1.97 units per acre.

Among items put off was a proposal for a master planned retail/residential district on the east side of Ga. 400 north of Crossroads Road.
