The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will tackle electronic message boards during a public hearing on a proposed amendment to its sign ordinance. It’s set for 5 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.

The change provides a new section on electronic message boards, limiting them to commercial and industrial zoning districts, establishing brightness limitations for both day and night operation and regulating how often they can change content.

The amendment also includes a requirement for an automatic dimmer to ensure that glare doesn’t affect drivers’ version during low-lighting times.
