The Forsyth County Animal Shelter has announced a "Summer of Love" pet adoption promotion in which the standard $85 adoption fee will be waived for all animals through Sept. 8.

All shelter pet adoptions include microchipping, spaying/neutering and age-appropriate vaccinations, the county said. Adoptions are by appointment only at the shelter, 4065 County Way, Cumming. Adoptable animals can be viewed at the shelter's web site, https://bit.ly/3dFNS19, and appointments can be made by submitting an adoption application.

“We are very excited to give residents a chance to bring home a pet at no cost,” said Shelter Manager Cindy Iacopella. “All of the pets in the shelter deserve a good home, and we are hopeful that this promotion will help families bring a new companion home this summer.”
