Former Georgia running back Danny Ware spent Saturday evening in the Athens-Clarke County jail on a driving under the influence of alcohol charge, The Macon Telegraph reports.

According to jail logs, Ware was booked at 9:12 p.m. and was set to spend 24 hours in confinement for a DUI arrest. It’s possible he’s serving his punishment for a previous arrest that occurred a year ago.

A year ago this weekend, in the early morning of May 6, 2015, Ware was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and speeding.

The former football player — a running back at Georgia from 2003 to 2006 before spending six years in the NFL — has not had an easy year.

Ware lost his 3-year-old son earlier this year, when the boy was struck by a car while riding his bicycle at his mother's Texas home. In February, Ware was fighting his estranged ex to bring the boy's body to Georgia for burial.
