Two former Stockbridge employees filed a federal lawsuit against the city and Mayor Tim Thompson alleging race and gender discrimination. Vicki Coleman and Anthony Brown, both black, were hired in 2013 and terminated in early 2014, shortly after Thompson, who is white, took office. They filed EEOC complaints more than a year ago. A statement from the city asserts that their positions were eliminated for budgetary reasons by a vote of the city council.
