Expect another brisk morning on Thursday, National Weather Service forecasters predicts.

Temperatures overnight and early Thursday will again drop into the 40s throughout metro Atlanta, meteorologist Laura Griffith said.

"It will be a beautiful day, just a bit chilly to start," Griffith said.

After mid- to upper 40s by 7 a.m., temperatures will rise to the mid- and upper 70s in clear, sunny skies, forecasters said.

Thursday night, going into Friday, temperatures will be in the 50s, with a 30-40-percent chance of showers through the day.

Temperatures will reach the upper 70s on Friday and Saturday, while chances for rain will drop to only 40 percent, forecasters said.
