Floating docks planned for Horton, McIntosh lakes in Fayette County

Floating docks that will assist kayakers and improve handicapped access have been approved for installation at Lake Horton in south Fayette County and (when it’s full again) Lake McIntosh in Peachtree City.

On Dec. 10 the Fayette County Board of Commissioners awarded $80,000 of Water System Renewal & Extension funds to Amaysing Services, Inc. for the project. The docks will meet requirements set by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The county is considering adding similar docks to other lakes as well.
