The Union City council will hold the first of three public hearings for adoption of its FY2016 budget at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at City Hall, 5047 Union Street. The city council will give its budget presentation at 5:30 p.m. that day, and the second public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. that evening. The third and final hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 18, after which the millage rate and budget will be formally adopted. Union City residents are encouraged to attend and participate.
