DeKalb County fire crews battled a blaze at a Dunwoody apartment complex on Thursday night.

The fire damaged seven units at the Broadstone at Dunwoody at 2436 Dunwoody Crossing, authorities said.

“We tried to go interior and fight the fire, but we saw it was far ahead of us, more than we anticipated,” Capt. Eric Jackson with the DeKalb fire department said.

The damage was substantial and crews will remain on the scene late into the night.

At this time, everyone is accounted for, Jackson said.

One resident was treated for a medical situation indirectly associated with the fire, and no firefighters were injured, he said.
