Nearly two dozen people were displaced Wednesday after an apartment blaze in Cobb County.

Crews have extinguished the fire at the Crestmont Apartments in the 500 block of Williams Drive in Marietta, spokeswoman Lindsey Wiles said.

“The fire is completely out now, but the cause is still under investigation,” she said.

No injuries were reported.

Five units were damaged and five others were affected, according to Divina Mims-Puckett of the American Red Cross of Georgia. About 23 people were displaced.

The Red Cross will provide help with immediate needs such as food, clothing, lodging, replacement medications and other essentials, Mims-Puckett said.
