The Department of Planning and Community Development, the Atlanta Regional Commission, MARTA and the Transportation Oriented Development Collaborative host the third and final Oakland City MARTA station community meeting 6 p.m. Thursday at Rev. James Orange Park at Oakland City Recreation center, 1305 Oakland Drive, S.W, Atlanta.

Two previous community meetings have been held in an effort to gain potential development ideas from residents and stakeholders for the Oakland City MARTA Station site and the adjacent commercial corridor. In addition, representatives of MARTA and the city’s Planning Department have attended various community meetings and focus groups and conducted both online and paper surveys to identify specific types of developments the community would support.

During Thursday’s meeting, organizers will reveal the results from the surveys and unveil renderings of potential residential and commercial developments.
