Midway Road, from Columbia Drive to Dorothy Drive, will be closed to through-traffic on Friday, July 27, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., due to filming, according to a press release. Residents living in the neighborhood will have access during the closure.

The state considers itself a “camera ready” destination for film and television production. According to data provided by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia-lensed feature films and television productions generated an economic impact of $6 billion.

Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area to advise motorists of traffic restrictions. For more information, contact the DeKalb County Roads and Drainage Department at 404-294-2878.
