A fifth suspect was arrested Wednesday in last month’s fatal armed robbery of a Villa Rica jewelry store owner, authorities said.

According to Villa Rica police, members of the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Bernard Hunt about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and turned him over to Villa Rica investigators.

Hunt, 23, of Atlanta, was charged with murder and armed robbery and is being held in the Carroll County Jail.

Mitch Mobley, the 45-year-old owner of Mobley’s Jewelry, was shot and killed June 26 after a group of armed men came into his store and began smashing jewelry cases with hammers.

Four other suspects, including a 16-year-old boy charged as an adult, were previously arrested and charged with murder and armed robbery.
