Federal and local law enforcement officials are seeking the public’s help to catch a bank robber who has hit three metro Atlanta Wells Fargo branches.

On Friday a woman robbed the Roswell branch at 10825 Alpharetta Highway just before 12:30 p.m. and then fled on foot, FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said.

Tuesday around 11 a.m., the woman entered the branch at 1490 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, and passed a note to a teller announcing a robbery, authorities said. She was unsuccessful, however, and left the bank.

Later Tuesday afternoon, Emmett said the woman surfaced at the Wells Fargo at 4640 Jonesboro Road in Union City and announced the robbery to a teller, again leaving on foot with an unspecified amount of money.

Authorities describe the suspect as a woman, about 30 years old, standing 5-feet-2- to 5-feet-5 inches, weighing 110 to 120 pounds, and wearing a black wig with purple tint, a grayish dress hat and large-framed sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the woman should contact the FBI at 404-697-0000; the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-7100 or the Union City Police at 770-306-6849.
