Kurt Erskine, a former prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta, is joining Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the law firm's white collar litigation practice.

Erskine was deputy chief of economic crimes in the U.S. Attorney's Office and worked on a variety of cases, including Atlanta Police Department corruption prosecutions that grew out of the 2006 fatal shooting of 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston in an illegal drug raid. Erskine will work with former U.S. Attorney Joe Whitley, who chairs Greenberg Traurig's white collar litigation group.
