FBI looking for metro Atlanta serial robber

The FBI is looking for a man it says is responsible for a series of armed robberies of banks and stores in the metro Atlanta area. Authorities said he is considered armed and dangerous.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 46-year-old Michael Jerome Winfield, of Atlanta, for Tuesday’s armed robbery of the Wells Fargo in the 4000 block of Lavista Road in Tucker, the FBI said Wednesday. The suspect, who had a handgun, announced the robbery and told the teller to put the money in a brown paper bag, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said.
