Four of Fayetteville’s planning and advisory boards gained new or reappointed members at the City Council’s first meeting of the year on Jan. 3.

Nancy Musselwhite was named to the Downtown Development Authority, with Clark Ninneman and Sam Burch reappointed to their positions for another term. Jim Poff and Desmona Fletcher were likewise reappointed to the Ethics Board.

The Main Street Tourism Association’s three new members are Mary Gholson, David Hilderbrandt and Shonte Walton. Three members of the Planning & Zoning Commission — Sarah Murphy, Joe Clark and Toby Spencer — were reappointed to new terms.

The council will address Municipal Court appointments at a later meeting.
